          The Want

Windows of an empty soul reflect
A want of heart surmised, detected
A useless search for one to replace
The other,
always there,
but always out of reach

COMIC RELIEF ENTRY. (You've Been Warned)
The Shell Seller

Shyla didn’t have it in her anymore. The fight had just taken too much out of her. It was enough he had the kids, kept the house, and left her with a tiny alimony payment too. But did he have to kill the dog?

Worse yet, here she was, abandoned after he had confessed to his infidelity while they were away on their ‘second honeymoon.’ After finding him in bed with one of the resort’s Cuban waiters, she had had enough. Unfortunately, he left her here, stranded and with no money. It was then that she noticed her ticket was a single.

Three months had passed as she received the news back from home, and each time, the news was worse. Living on a makeshift hut on the beach near the resort her husband had the tryst with, she accepted the kind love and help of the same man who made all this evident. After all, he was a victim too. But enough was enough. Today was the day. Screw the world. She had had enough of selling sea shells by the sea shore to make a living. After today, Shyla the shell seller selling sea shells by the sea shore would sell no more.
